Me.  Nearing my 40's I have much experience.  Self-Employed Artist, Previous Gallery Owner, Illustrator, Consultant, Art Teacher, Business Woman.

My Aim:  To make work that lifts spirits.  To make work that works.  To make work that sells.  To make work that circulates positive thoughts.  To make us feel good about ourselves.

My Wish:  To generate a fair and exciting business humming around me.  To make things using my own artwork.  To circulate my paintings.  To open my own shop/studio.  To teach my skills to those that would like to learn.  To have my own 'Samantha Barnes' Van..covered in my blue clouds of course!

Publishing & Licensed work:

 

• Greeting Card publishers.  Current:  Peartree Heybridge Ltd.  A range of 42 card designs selling nationally, most noably in Waitrose.  Past publishers include:  Seadragon Publishing and Fatcat.
• ArtGloriousArt.  This is my own company along with Henri Brett.  We make products using my artwork.  Current products include a range of preserve labels and mugs.
• ICTC.  This is a kitchenware manufacturer based in Norwich.  They are currently using my artwork for a line of kitchenware products, such as aprons, oven gloves, tea towels and aga covers.  This new range is due to be launched Autumn 2010.
• Limited Edition Prints.  Previously I have worked with Collier & Dobson Ltd, De Montfort Fine Art and Red Hot Fine Art.  I now make and produce all my limited and open edition prints in house.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Ba Hons 2:1 in Textile Print Design 1994.  Foundation Certificate from Winchester School of Art 1991

• ACE Tutor at Peter Symmonds College, Winchester.
