Keeping creative during school holidays...

Keeping creative during school holidays...

I have a new place for you all...its called  'Mumsgotabusiness' and is one of four supportive websites run by and inspirational lady called Heather Bestel who as she writes herself is a  mum, therapist, author and award winning business mentor.

Her website is chocker-full of advice, links and most importantly support for those of us running a business around a family, its great to know that there are so many of us.

Each Monday, Heather features a 'Monday Mumpreneur'  and I am that mummy on Monday March 5th.  Will give you a nudge to remind you all.

As am sure you are aware, this week is half-term.  The babes are home, the house a bomb-site and still the business needs to be attended to.  How?  Erm..here are my hints...

Work in 5 minute chunks (ahem..lets me honest and call them chunkettes eh?)  Do not and I repeat Do not keep your house as a homage to cleanliness like during term-time when its just about manageable.  Its not going to happen...therefore, relieve yourself of your own self-imposed standards of tidying-upness and leave the capsule...go out.

On your return, continue to leave the house a state.  Babes are happy doing a game/dvd/any activity that works and get your butt back on your computer..not in the kitchen...get that work done.

On the slide down to tea, bath and bed thats your time to do the whizzing about...in other words and am sure you have sussed it now..my advice is to devote those precious moments to work instead of trying to remain in any sort of control of the house during the holidays..frankly I find it amazing how much one can get done in chunkettes of time...

Happy holidays team
