We had the best weekend ever....another one.
Not
only have the babes gotten to an age where I don't feel like the most
evil mother in the world to leave them for a night, but they are
gracious enough to get excited about going to Grannies for a
'sleepover'. Result.
All
hail the Grannies. Not wanting to take the Michael ever, its bliss to
see them getting all organised to have the children. Planning is done a
few days before (by Granny) - this time it was 'going to the cinema at
home' (little one isn't big on the movies as its a bit dark - dur?!)
Anyway.. 'Dumbo' and popcorn was a winner all round - the husband and I
were free for 24hrs...Yay!
Our
mission was to get into London, have a ball, collect an etching press
(not a massive thing at all..honest guv) take it back to my studio on a
massive hangover and install it - easy.
We
had a ball, saw lots of great pals we haven't seen for a long time,
danced like loons and mingled with lots of new faces - bliss. Bed by
3.30am.
The
next morning with our tongues stuck to the top of our mouths we
breakfasted in style, drowned ourselves in coffee, waved our cheerios
and jumped on the M3 to get to studio in Andover by 1'ish.
2hrs
later its up to me and the husband to get said press out of the car
without actually maiming ourselves horribly. Its truly heavy. Two
stainless steel rollers and one bed...on our raving hangovers we did
it. Not only did we get it in and set it up without an argument -
(quite something for this type of venture) but on the way home we hit
Sainsbury's to buy pie and mash - the only cure.
Proper
lovely to see the babes and we had a love-in for the rest of the
evening. A family movie, pie, mash and peas and everyone in bed by
8.30pm.
Woke
with lots of inspiration to get up and in the studio to use the press.
Borrowed some cleaner and gave it a really good going over - shining
and new I began work.
